You can literally reduce the video size—the resolution—which is especially useful if you're planning to watch your video files on a smaller form factor, such as a phone. You can cut unwanted parts of the video off, shortening the overall of length. You can even adjust the bitrate of the file's audio. Video Compress Lite claims to be able to achieve up to 30x file size reduction... though the resulting video might not be very watchable if you go that extreme.
